Welcome to the first episode of our new show “In Defence of” where we´ll be unashamedly defending pop culture´s underdogs from the cold, hard realities of a harsh and critical web.
Join Ian, Will and Wend, as they try to convince you, the discerning listener, why Bryan Singer´s Superman Returns and the score John Ottman wrote for it, is nowhere near as bad as you may have either heard or remember, and is in fact, awesome!

Steve Shives´ video – What´s So Bad About Superman Returns?
I’ve lost track of how many times I watched my Superman Returns blu-ray.

Yes, same here, it looks beautiful on Blu-ray. In fact we watched the film again right after recording the show! We hope you enjoyed our episode.

“Can You Read My Mind”: It seems reasonable to me that Lois’s theme changed because SHE has changed as has her relationship with Superman. Loved the commentary! Steve Shives videos on “Superman Returns” caused me to take a second viewing of the film. I am glad I changed my views. It’s actually a great second movie (I sort of consider Superman 1 & 2 should not have been split up.)
