Please do an in defense of Alien 3, ever since the announcement of the new film the alien 3 haters have swarmed and left the net swamped with illogical distain that seems based upon the argument “It wasn’t aliens all over again” and I cannot stand such drivel. I see that you are film score lovers, then I cannot recommend a better film, alien 3’s soundtrack is wonderful! Dark, dreary and hopeless just like the film, a gigantically nihilistic movie which punctuates itself with the utilization of religiously imagery and even Latin hymns. For god sake, I love this movie, please watch both the theatrical and assembly cut, I truly believe this film is on par thematically with aliens, anyway just asking (begging) I know you probably don’t care (perhaps also hate alien 3) but I just cannot sit here on the sidelines and helplessly witness the mob mosh pit which assault my poor alien 3.

What an amazing comment! I believe I am in the two that love this film, both cuts. In fact, I place it above Aliens in the series. I would love to defend it, but you’ll have to speak to my bosses.

I don’t know if this request belongs under “Score Guides” or “In Defence of” but Cloud Atlas is one of my all-time favorite scores and movies. It’s pretty polarizing (folks either love or hate) so my guess is it belongs here 😉
