Ian delivers yet another exclusive interview, this time with the incredibly talented ASCAP award-winning composer Evan Wise, whose credits include Coming Home, Flying Wild Alaska, America’s Got Talent, and the animated feature film Ratchet & Clank.
Evan discusses being inspired musically by E.T. the Extra Terrestrial, growing up watching a lot of Looney Tunes, the precision composers had to undertake when scoring Tom and Jerry, studying film scoring and instrumentation with the illustrious Hummie Mann in Seattle, the importance of Mahler pushing boundaries, the composers he’s most excited about at the moment, winning an ASCAP award, writing, orchestrating and copying for a large orchestra for the first time, his favourite section of the orchestra, building a career with publishers and contractors, working with director Kevin Munroe on his first animated feature ‘Ratchet and Clank‘, his personal studio setup, his favourite scores of 2015 and so much more!
